Filling a Cracked Turquoise with Gold

A customer flew in from Texas for one repair, her late father‘s cracked turquoise ring. Instead of hiding the cracks, she wanted it highlighted using the Japanese art of Kintsugi. I made my own gold dust and mixed it right into the epoxy that fills the crack. This is a first time repair for me as it’s is not a common technique used in jewelry, but I think it came out pretty cool looking.
