Modifying a graduation bracelet with a gifted diamond from her boyfriend

This David Yurman bracelet was a graduation present that Jenna received from her parents but she wanted it modified when her boyfriend got her a beautiful 2ct diamond. I first cut the starburst off the bracelet and then used my laser welder to fill in and clean up the cut marks left behind. Then I shaped a 4-prong head to match the contour of the bracelet and soldered it on. After I set the diamond it was time to convert the starburst into a pendant by cleaning up the backside and attaching a jumpring and a bail. I think this was a lovely way to honor both her parents and her boyfriend.
