Four Seasons Godess of Harvest Tuxedo Stud Buttons in 14K Yellow and White Gold, Custom Created for 20th Century Vintage Wedgwood Medallions in Black Basalt and White

14k yellow and white gold tuxedo studs with four 20th Century Wedgwood Jasperware round medallions, with the “Wedgwood” stamp behind each. The bezel is made of 14k white gold and the spoke mechanism in the back is made of 14k yellow gold.

The Jasperware was acquired separately at auction and was bezel-set into these new tuxedo stud settings, that were custom designed for these objects.

The studs have a sliding post that locks into place.

The motif on the medallions is the godess of harvest. This neoclassical symbol signifying abundance and prosperity, is often times one of the allegorical symbols in the Four Seasons. The figure most often associated with the harvest in Greco-Roman tradition is Demeter (Greek) or Ceres (Roman).

The color of each medallion is "basalt" (or black) in matte finish with the neoclassical symbol shown in white. Basalt with a white neoclassical freeze is a common color combination for Wedgwood.
