I gutted this watch to make room for a giant gemstone

This watch still ticks but it never told the right time. Instead of fixing it Ashley asked me to turn her mom‘s watch into something she’d actually wear. That meant removing the movement, protecting the delicate chain-bordered bracelet, and setting an 11.5 carat emerald-cut Iolite right into the case. It sounds ridiculous, but it works.
