I turned a Sharpie into an actual permanent marker

Sharpie’s claim they’re permanent… but every jeweler knows marker wipes right off polished metal. So I decided to fix that problem by turning a normal Sharpie into an actual permanent marker. I replaced the felt tip with silver tubing, cut a seat with a setting but, and set a diamond upside-down into the opening. I tested it on pearl, opal, garnet, sapphire, diamond, and one of the hardest metals known to science, a gold-platinum alloy called Netherite.
